Cardio exercises is a simple way to loose weight, burn fat, improve health or be physically fit. In other words it's cardiovascular exercise which improves your heart rate and blood flow. It is similar to aerobic exercise which means use of oxygen to meet the demands of the body during exercise. Only running to be in shape sometimes is boring. There are many types of cardio exercises. The main target of these exercise is to have a good control on heart rate.

Sprinting is the best form of cardio an individual can perform. It burns good amount of calories. Sprints can be done on treadmills, race tracks or various other outdoor places.

Sprinting is different from jogging. In jogging a constant pace is maintained whereas in sprinting the explosive power is under action. Sprinting is best to maintain the shredded look or loose body weight.

The sequence of sprinting can be as : initially sprinting for 1 min and then jogging for 1 min. After that continuing the same cycle. Sprint on treadmills or outdoor it's your choice.
Personally I love sprinting outdoors in the nature that too early in the morning.

Cycling is a good alternative for sprinting. There are few people who suffer from knee pain or joint pain while running or jogging for a period of time. So they find difficulty in running. Cycling is the best solution for this.

Now you may even use your personal cycle or exercise bikes in your gym. I have observed that people in gym don't even pedal properly. They continuously use their smartphones while cycling. Isn't that a signal to laziness? Instead go for a good RPM and maintain that speed.

Always keep the intensity high. You may slow down for 30-60 sec. And again continue with the same speed.

3. HIGH INTENSITY INTERVAL TRAINING

HIIT is also one of the most important type of cardio exercise. It is also known as HIGH INTENSITY INTERMITTENT TRAINING. HIIT burns more calories than workouts or sprinting. HIIT is a training with shorter recovery period.

It requires less time and there is very less chance of muscle loss. So no worries about muscle loss. Just keep your exercise to rest ratio constant. Minimum the rest period better is the result.

Infact skipping burns more calories than running. As you continuously need to jump. It also improves body coordination. It's a good cardio exercise to perform at home.

Elliptical is better than normal treadmill as your heart beat is more while using elliptical machines. But many people find elliptical boring. That's not right.
