What Is Trekking ?

Going on a long journey deep into the nature with friends, family members or even solo on foot is known as trekking. It is similar to hiking. But in hiking the paths are man made. While in trekking you find the path. Mostly the travelled path is on a hill or mountain.

How Trekking Is Beneficial ?

It doesn't matter whether your physical fit or not. A normal person can also go for trekking.
However trekking helps to improve personal fitness. Due to a long journey on foot, from uneven paths to climbing on rocks helps in full body workout. It improves your strength and stamina too.

When you climb a mountain you feel good. You enjoy the journey process and also the view. On reaching the top you feel like you have won a battle. This boosts your confidence and gives mental satisfaction.

MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE :

Recently I went for trekking. Basically at the top was a fort popularly known as Karnala Fort. So the goal was to reach the Fort.

It was a great experience. Getting up early in the morning, packing bags and getting a local transport. We were a group of 7

Karnala Fort comes under the region Karnala. The journey begins through a bird sanctuary "Karnala Bird Sanctuary". Various types of birds were there. You'll enjoy every moment.

Then comes the main trekking part. From slippery tracks to big stones everything takes your test. One needs to be careful if going for the first time.

But you won't even realise when you would be on the top provided that your group is funny 😂. And the view from the top is amazing. Just sit down and enjoy the view. Let the cool air get through your mind gaining all positivity. A mental satisfaction is achieved. This really helps you in today's fast and modern world.

TREKKING GRADE

EASY : Trekkers without any previous experience

MODERATE : A level higher than easy which requires some strength and stamina

STRENOUS : A level higher that moderate in which trekking can last upto 6  hours.

DIFFICULT : Trekking on high altitude. These are performed by experts or under their guidance. It's really challenging and adventurous.

Trekking is also organised by many groups. The adventure over there is real just like you have seen in movies. But they charge you for this. The price ranges from 5,000 to 50,000 INR. This includes your travelling, accomodation and food charges. So this can also be a good choice.

EQUIPMENT :
(depending on your trekking grade)

  • First aid kit
