Core strength is the most important part of an individual's body. Core workouts shouldn't be confused with abs workout. Though the results of six pack abs is similar. Infact some of the ab exercises comes under core exercises.

The stronger core muscles leads to better fitness. Don't mix abs and core as the same muscles. In fact core consists of abs, back muscles and various other muscles as it's parts.

It is seen that many people assume core muscles to be abs. Having those six pack abs. But they ignore the other muscles associated with it. Core benefits are seen all over the body.


The best 5 exercises for building up stronger core





PLANK
This is one of the best and most suggested core exercise for everyone. Infact it involves every core muscle. The posture is similar to a push up.
Just keep in mind to keep a correct posture. Try to hold the position for 1 min.




Side Plank

SIDE PLANKS
It is similar to planks but side planks is performed side ways. This exercise strengthens the obliques.




Russian Twist

RUSIAN TWIST
This exercise involves twisting motion of the abdomen.  It also strengthen your internal and external obliques.




Superman

SUPERMAN
This exercise will give you the feeling of flying like superman. But it requires lot of inner effort to execute this exercise. It even targets your glutes and back muscles.




Bird Dog

BIRD DOG
This exercise will grill your core muscles. Balancing is the key for this exercise.



Advantages of  Core Exercises

  • It doesn't require gym membership. Yes you read it right. You can perform these exercise anywhere you want. At home, garden, playground or place of your choice. 

  • It improves your body stability.  Core exercises train your abdomen, hips, back and pelvis muscles. Resulting in better body stability.

  • Improves postural deformities. 

  • Improves your breathing efficiency.

  • You get flat tummy initially and later abs if consistent.


You may perform these exercises after your workout or as warm up. It would not take more than 10-15 min. For better and faster core strength all types of exercises should be included like the compound and the isolation workouts.
